5 Stars – Loved this book!Callie knew she had to find a way to make money quickly. The only ones left alive after the Spore Wars were people aged younger than 20 and older than 60 years old. Callie’s little brother Tyler needed medical care. She, her brother, and her friend Michael were homeless, poor, and left alone with no family. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Callie decides to become a renter for Prime Destinations. For three relatively brief “rentals,” a Starter like Callie could provide a youthful, beautiful, healthy body for one of the Elders. Once the rental period was up, Callie would once again inhabit her own body – left with enough money to secure a new life and a fresh start for Callie’s small family. It was only temporary, safe, and her body and mind would be left fully restored once the Elder was done renting her. At least that was the promise made by Prime Destinations.
When the implanted microchip malfunctions, Callie wakes up unexpectedly and assumes the life of her renter. Callie has a chance to live the good life – living in the Elder’s mansion and wearing the finest jewelry and clothes. She meets Blake, the gorgeous grandson of prominent Senator, and finds herself falling in love for the first time.
Callie soon discovers that her body has not been rented from an Elder merely wanting to relive her youth. She is shocked to discover that Helena, the Elder renting her body, is planning on a revenge murder, an assassination she would commit using Callie’s body. Worse yet, Blake’s grandfather is Helena’s target. Callie knew she had to stop Helena without alerting Prime Destinations and find a way reclaim her own body for good – before time ran out for Callie and her brother, Tyler.

I LOVED starters!!!! its an amazing book that shows how to be brave and fight for what you believe in. Callie is a girl who is poor who doesnt have a home and has a sick brother. she goes to prime destinations to see if she would like to sale her body for a period of time. at first she resents the idea but then realizes she has no choice, her brother has a lung disease. but while beng rented she wakes up to find herself in a whole new world filled with wealth and glory, she then tries to figure out what happened and why is she in her own body when shes supposed to be sleeping ina dream like state. Her renter Helena soon comes into play when she starts talking to callie in side of callies head. Helena tells callie not to go back to prime destinations because if they found out they would kill her. Hela tells callie that prime is planning a horrifying plan for renters to stay permantly in the body they choose and the starters will be killed .Callie soon finds herself in a battle of survival. And the ones that she loves will be put to the test to see if they are trustworthy. The battle is On!!!!!

Starters is a amazing book! This book shows how to fight for what you believe in. Callie is the main character is very poor and has to take care of her brother who is sick with a lung disease. Callie eager to get money to take care of her little brother signs up for a business called Prime Destinations. Prime is a business that allows enders to rent starters bodys for a short time to be young again. While Callie is doing her last rental her neruo chip malfunctions and she wakes up in the life of her renter, and Helena can talk to Callie through her mind and she tells Callie that she can not return to Prime or they will kill not only Callie but Helena as well because she tampered with her neuro chip. Callie soon finds her self battling to survive. This book is amazing.

I think this book is AMAZING!!! Callie is the main character and the only family she has is her brother, Tyler and her friend, Micheal. Tyler has a lung disease so she has to take good care of him and plus they don’t have a lot of money and don’t have a very stable home. So she and Micheal have to struggle to survive with money and food supply. Whens she finds this buissness called Prime Destinations she “works” for them and gets money for it too!!! This buissness is to let enders rent starters bodies for a good amount of time. When she finds out that her chip moufunctions in the middle of a rent she is in big danger of losing her life and finds her self struggling to survive with all of the problems going on with her chip.

Our class has just recently finished this book. This book was so filled with action and adventure. My favorite part is when Kylie wakes up holding an assault rifle about to shoot the senator. At the end it adds a really weird twist, I could not put the book down it was so thrilling and gripping. In the book the starters are taken over because they can now be rented for a lifetime, Kylie notices her friend Michael on the street and realizes something very strange, but worst of all her brother Tyler is missing. I recomend anybody to read this book, it is amazing!

I loved the book Starters because it got realy intreasting and it pulled me right in. In the book a girl named Callie has a fun adventure trying to help her brother because he is sick and to get money to buy things they need. While trying to get money she sells her body to three renters and on the last renter every thing wrong now she is on a mission to try to find out what is going on and it could cost her life.

I read the book Starters its about a girl named Callie. She and her brother were abandoned by their parents after they died in the spore wars.Now her and her brother live on the street and fend for whatever food they can. starters like her and her brother can’t get jobs or buy a place to live only older people can; but there is one place they can get a job and earn money for it’s at Prime Destinations and it’s a body bank where unclaimed minors like herself can sell their body for money to an ender that rents it for and extended amount of time.but Callies chip malfunctions and put her in the life she could never imagine… a rich person~!

Out of all the books i read so far this is the second book i liked so far.How she goes through this rollercoster ridetrying to get money for her brother.She does not do this for her but she does it with her family well the only family she got cause her parents are dead in the spores war.Its so sad on what she goes through but i love how the book ends.You have to read it to find out how it ends.

I read this book, and it was awesome. Just how she goes through all of this and finds out what’s going on without telling anyone. She also ends up caring for a boy who is not a starter and everyone thinks she is one, so she has to keep it a secret. But she finds out that he is not who she thought he was. By far this is one of the best books I have ever read, and hope that I can read the second one soon.

This book is really great! It’s about a poor girl name Callie who is on the streets with her little brother and a friend. She is so determined to get money. Then finds out how to get money, Prime Destinations. She enters the building and is enjoyed how everybody is so nice. So she gets the job. But, the technology goes wrong and she’s stuck inside of her renter’s body. She then finds a shocking secret about her renter and what she want to do. Further in the book, Helena, which is the lady who rented Callie’s body talks to her through her mind. They both team together to stop Prime Destinations. And while they’re doing it, Callie meets a boy who she likes name Blake. She thought they were going to be together forever. But thought wrong at the end of the book, Blake’s grandfather tells Callie that the man who owns Prime has took over Blake’s body the whole time they’ve been together. Callie is shocked and wonders how could she not notice that Blake wasn’t who she thought he was. At the end she gets a house and money for her brother. I really like this book ,and I would recommend this book to someone.

This book was incredible!!!!!! I loved it! Callie the main character, has a little brother named Tyler, she tries her hardest to get money for him and feed him and give him what he needs! Michael a family friend, lives with Callie and Tyler. While Callie one day goes to Prime Destinations, and tells the guy that signs everyone up, that she will have to think about signing up to be part of Prime. She signs up and then she goes in and she is now renting her body to complete strangers. She does her first two rentals and now her third, one month! It eventually ends up glitching, Callie is in her body while the renter is renting her body. She finds out many secrets that were revealed she’d of never known without the renter! She goes to find her brother Tyler and they eventually reunite! The renter who rented Callies body, put Callie in her will and Callie gets her house, money and her cars, but half of it. She, her brother, and michael all move in!!!!

This book was my favorite of all time! i liked the outcome of the book! the intresting thing that i loved about the book is being able to rent someones body! How cali and helina keep changing in and out and where cali wakes up is amazingly wierd! at the end of the book helena gives cali all of her money and caliu and her brother tyler are safe, or so i thought!

This was an incredible book and I can’t wait for the second one! My favorite part was at the very end when the masked man who was behind the whole thing started to explain some things to Callie, and then dissapeared. I also like the chase scene after that when they tried to find him, right before the helicopter took off. I will definitly read this again, and the second book, too!

this book is amazing!!! It is about this girl named callie, her yonger brother, and mike. Callie is really poor and needed to find a way to get money to feed her brother and mike. There is a buisness called prime destinations, there they sell young bodies to the old people so they can rent them. the younge people get paid a lot of money to do this so callie did it. There was a mess up in her chip and she woke up in her body but at the renters house. she soon finds out that the renter was planning to kill someone with her body. The rest of the book is about her trying to stop the renter from killing the Senator and getting back to her younger brother

Omg this was book was sooooooooooo good ! I liked how tuff Cali was. Cali is a girl who was trying to make a better life for her and her brother. Ever since the spore wars broke out they have been living in abandend buildings with friend Micheal. Cali deciedes to rent her body to an old person for a week for money. But everythimg goes wrong when her chip messee up. Now she is living her renters life and driving her cars living in her house . But the renter has other plans for Cali. Like I said this was a very good book.

Starters was a good book. It was about Callie, who was trying to get money for her brother, Tyler, Michael, and herself. Callie was a girl that seemed tough on the outside, but on the inside, she occasionally acted like, well, just a girl. She wanted to be a Starter so that she would get money, but it’s so much more than that once she has awareness again. Helena can talk in Callie’s head… Until Helena is killed. Callie has so much more going on in her life than is worth it, and she doesn’t like it that way. Callie is a girl that just wants out, and it isn’t going too well.

Starters was one of the best books I’ve ever read, it’s a lot like the Hunger Games! I read the whole book thinking it was all by itself, but when I read the last words I was like “It can’t end like that!!!” And then I looked it up and found out I had to wait until December 1st 2013 for the second one to come out!
Starters is about a girl named Callie, who is always worried about her little brother-and would do anything to get him money to treat his lung disease. So she rents her body to an Ender. But she wakes up in the middle of her rental, and finds out that the Ender is using her body has plans…plans to get people killed. And the whole book is about Callie fighting against it.

Micheal was Callies best friend who helped with her little brother, Tyler, a lot. All their parents died because of The Spore War. The spores killed everyone that wasn’t vacsinated, and only the elders and the kids were. So that meant, All the people 18 or older, died because they didn’t get the shot. Callie figured out about the bodybank, which is a place where you donate your body, and an older person uses it for a couple weeks and pays you a lot of money. Callie knew that she needed money so she did what she had to be done but Micheal didn’t want to lose her. It was a very good book and i recommend it to everyone.

I loved the book starters when Ms. Crabtree did the read outloud. i thought it was very original and exciting and i liked how much Callie cared about her little brother Tyler. Blake was also one of my favorite characters because he was so brave. i felt kinda sad about what happened in the spores wars and how many teenagers were forced to rent their bodies out to the old people at prime detestations. Michael running away surprised me and so did the fact the elder who rented Callies body dies. i cant wait until the next one comes back so i can find out what happens with the old man and how Callie reacts to having his voice in her head now and to also see why she heard her father.
